Turmeric (Curcuma Longa) has been used in India for thousands of years as a medicinal herb and a spice, giving curry its characteristic yellow color. The vast majority of turmeric is grown in India and the key ingredients generally come from the root. Curcuminoids are the main active ingredient in turmeric, providing powerful anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant benefits.
